If you want to know exactly what your cost-per-cup is, SingleCup.ca is probably the place for you. They're also a great spot to buy coffee in bulk, and they sell everything from Authentic Donut Shop to Skinnygirl Coffee (as well as brands like Starbucks and Tim Hortons, of course)!

Hi I purchase keurig coffee pods from CoffeeMarvel at coffeemarvel.ca -- they offer 10% off your first purchase and carry unique coffees & teas such as CakeBoss, Guy Fieri, and Skinny Girl. I believe they ship out of Ontario. They periodically offer discounts as well.

The Original Donut Shop K-Cups earn our best overall spot because they have a bold flavor but are easy to drink and appeal to all manner of coffee lovers. They're also easy to find and are reasonably priced, offering a lot of bang for the buck. For a budget-friendly option, try the Victor Allen Coffee Pods, which come in several different flavors that can be purchased in bulk.

Using the iFill technology for the cups, Black Powder has been able to dial in a superior grind level and load the pod to 12.5 g vs standard K-Cups at 8.5 grams (38% more coffee). This is in addition to use of the mesh basket to allow water to tumble the grounds instead of channel meaning every gram of coffee is saturated. This enables a rich cup of coffee without the standard compromise of taste. Additionally, the product is 100% Recyclable & BPA Free.

This post continues my series about how to save money on coffee. First, I searched for the best generic whole bean coffee. Next, I investigated how much coffee is in a k-cup and compared the cost of drip coffee vs. k-cups.

Dollar Tree had the very cheapest regular price k-cups I could find at only $0.25 per k-cup. I am a little skeptical of Dollar Tree coffee, but if you only have $1 for coffee, you can get your fix at the Dollar Tree.

Amazon has several varieties of k-cup coffee that are around $0.30 each. Those prices can also be improved by coupons and subscribe and save. A 15% discount would bring the price down to only $0.26 each, making Amazon one of the cheapest options for k-cups.

The cheapest k-cups on Amazon currently were Double Donut and Victor Allen (the same brand sold at Bed Bath & Beyond). I noticed a number of reviewers noted that there were some quality control issues with the Victor Allen k-cups popping open, so beware of that.

In order to find the cheapest k-cups, I searched for the cheapest brand of k-cup at a number of national chains. To keep things simple, I only looked at regular, non-sale prices. Here is a summary of my findings:

Enjoy a dark roasted blend sourced from the Cerrado region of Brazil, Santa Barbara in Honduras, and the Costa Rican Central Valley in celebration of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary. This limited-time exclusive features notes of blueberry, black cherry and a subtle hint of lemon. This coffee is packed fresh in convenient single serve cups. Keurig compatible.12-count box.

I love that they did a 50th blend. however, the flavor is absent, at least in the kcups it is. I brewed mine using the strong option on my keurig and still there is almost no flavor. Pretty disappointed with this one. I would not order again. If you like very very weak coffee, almost tastes like water coffee than this might be for you.

Keurig 2.0 machines scan the lids of the cups to ensure they accept only 2.0-compatible Keurig pods, shutting out the third-party pods that erupted on the market after the K-Cup patent expired in 2012. People dislike the 2.0 brewer because of the newly incompatible pods, but the machines have stuck around because they offer the option to brew a full pot.

The K-Classic works like any other Keurig, with a water reservoir on its side and a number of buttons that allow you to dictate the size of your coffee. Unlike the K-Mini, the K-Classic has a removable reservoir, which means you can fill it directly in the sink. The K-Classic can make 6-, 8-, 10-, and 12-ounce cups of coffee, but we found anything larger than a 6-ounce cup tasted laughably watery. Like all Keurigs aside from the K-Mini, which is around the size of a blender, the K-Classic is a bulky machine that takes up about as much room on your counter as a drip coffee maker.

A selection of single-serving coffee packs for your Keurig K-Cup machine includes a complete line of daily, extra bold, flavored, organic coffees and more. Each K-Cup pack is like a miniature coffee maker. We carry all the best-selling Single serve cups ... take a look.

That being said, the k-cups are reasonably priced: you get 2 boxes of 10 k-cups each. They work for all Keurig brewers, with the exception of the newer Vue models. Click their Amazon page below for more details. 041b061a72
